Glasgow, midday

I post this in the hope that it might entertain at least one transatlantic blipper. This is Buchanan Street, Glasgow - always an upmarket shopping street, and these days also a pedestrian precinct with a slightly suicidal road running through the top third. These hairy highlanders are a band called Big Peat, and they were making a fine racket at lunchtime today. (There's a wee movie going up on Flickr) They were playing, I think, the theme tune from The Last of the Mohicans - a soundtrack I always loved. The snow began to fall lightly as we watched.
