Not the best of photos but it's a blip. This cottage as you come into Ambleside from Kirkstone Pass has a post box in the wall from the reign of Queen Victoria.  It's aptly called Penny Red Cottage. 


Yesterday afternoon I started sorting through a shoe box full of photos (mostly family) which seem to date from about 1930 to 1950. This morning we had no internet so I didn't get my blip time but I did finish the box. I've kept some but the poor quality ones and those with people on that I don't recognise will have to go. There were a few interesting finds.
