Brown Hare

Bugs Bunny once sang 'I Dream of Jeannie, She's a Light Brown Hare'. I don't think it was this one, though. I went a walk along the Stromness shores as far as Warebeth. There were three hares in the fields beyond the drystone dyke. I'm sure they knew I was there but must be used to people on the path and know that there is no problem until we cross the wall. I kept an eye out for the otters seen there last week by HappyValley (don't know how to link that), but no sign. The usual birds- ringed plovers, curlew, cormorants, red-breasted mergansers etc.
