Collared Dove
The first that we can remember seeing in our ten or so winters in Paris. Eurasian Collared Doves are at least fairly common over much of Europe, and we've certainly seen them quite a number of times elsewhere on the continent. So we haven't gotten unduly excited about it :) Today was a climactic day of demonstrations by the transit unions, so we stayed close to home. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of the strikes. (I didn't specifically mention it, but our museum outings of the last two days went smoothly--and Wednesday was a long one, across much of Paris to the west.) If you're wondering, the dove is perched on a chimney cover.
