Manchester Chinese New Year

Road closures and people setting up a stage for this evening. It’s the lunar new year tomorrow, the year of the rat for the Chinese new year. Manchester’s China town is not far from the town hall. A significant population, and lots of trading and other links.

The  coronavirus focussed on Wuhan is muting the celebrations in China this year.  Major cities in China now in lock-down. Let’s hope the outbreak is contained - not easy in our globally connected world.
