Not hot cross bunnies! Saltire Buns

I think Morrisons get the award for creative baking! Presumably these are aimed at our national bard whose day is tomorrow and have absolutely no connection to Easter. I was almost tempted to buy some I was so impressed by their ingenuity.
Morrisons also impressed me with their customer service tonight too, so much so that I decided to fill in their online customer feedback form. I was sad to have read yesterday that they are cutting a large number (3000) of departmental manager posts.... the managers can take a post in the store at an hourly rate but it is at standard shop floor rate of the national living wage £9 per hour. Not good.
I took communion to one of our congregation this morning, possibly the last time I'll do that as our new Rector will be in post once I get back. I'll miss it.
Out to the rectory to have a leak in a pipe dealt with and that is finally it. Job done.
I had a quiet afternoon, wandered around a few shops then came home and made a casserole which is not something I do very often, I never seem to manage to cook beef well, I can roast it, fry it and grill it fine and I'm fine with mince, just not casseroles. It tastes good though, or at least the gravy does, so hopefully I've nailed it this time.
It's the weekend again already, how does that happen?
