A lickle close for comfort
The photography books say that you should focus on the eyes. I failed. But as I was looking through a wide-angle lens, this lady was just a little too close for fiddling around with focus points. A big raspy tongue was imminently about to add a soft focus filter to the front of the lens.
She is one of the team of hardy conservationists who work every day up on the Knott grazing off the coarse grasses and shrubs, and creating better conditions for the special butterflies (scotch argus, northern brown argus, high brown fritillary amongst others) to thrive.
Gus and I had two walks over the Knott today. The poor lad has a bit of a tummy problem at the moment, though I won't go into the details. But it was a none too pleasant start to our morning walk.
He's looking better now, he and his furry friend are enjoying life in front of the wood burning stove. A pleasant evening in tonight, currently catching up with the Transatlantic Sessions DVD that I bought Wifie for Christmas.
