Snuggle
Enjoyed a barbeque today with some neighbours, who thought it would be good to bring us all together, having survived the fire in the early morning of 22nd December.
Carl and I had cleared out, but there were many friendships forged in the drama that night.
I was interested to hear from someone on the ground who'd been told by the firies that they wouldn't be able to save our house, or our neighbour's house below and that they wouldn't be trying.
I'll never know what happened, but a burnt hedge was the only evidence of damage.
This little boy at the barbeque isn't asleep, but snuggling in with Dad.
The extra is a gang gang I spotted when walking home, enjoying a feast of hawthorn berries.
