Alchemy

Lovely day despite it being a bit grey and boring weather wise....we had a slow lazy start then T built the last of kitchen chairs now it’s been delivered (quicker than the one I did!) before we set off walking down to the New Town. Gin school was fun...they made two quite different gins (which they called ‘The Estate’ and ‘Spotty Dog’ somewhat predictably!) and both enjoyed it and were pleased with their results. After that we headed into town and had a lovely mezze late lunch, mooched some shops and, channeling Arclight in Seasalt shop, Kt found a new jumper in the sale and I got a necklace (not in the sale!). On the way home I did my whistle stop version of the Harry Potter tour for Kt who is a superfan...Elephant House Cafe, wizard shop, Cockburn St/Diagon Alley then Voldemort grave in Greyfriars (extra)
Home to chill and start knitting Kt’s slouchy cardi, then our for fabulous dinner at Castle Terrace (extra) with their favourite dish of spelt risotto.
