Diary of an Edinburgher

Well, as, predicted by JR, the traffic fine arrived for my accidental illegal episode in a rush hour bus lane. £30. Duh! I wish the cooncil was as efficient with numerous other things...

Elizabeth took Archie out for the day, and they went up (nearly) Arthur's Seat. She did almost 20,000 steps!

We popped into town to visit the BP Awards at the Portrait Gallery. As usual, I did not agree with the winner. And there were some very strange ones, though I loved the third place one. (Extra).

We had a dander down Broughton Street - haven’t been there for ages. We were looking for an inviting place for a snack/coffee. We eventually decided on a wee pub, mainly because we'd been down one side and up the other, and either the place didn’t appeal, or it was mobbed. But we did well. We had a half portion of fish and chips, and it really hit the spot.

I then caught the tram and the bus home, while JR, because she was in sight of her favourite shop, was lured to it. She was 'just looking' at suitcases...
