St. James's Park: Felonious Heronious
Fishier in large.
Extras:
Heron feeding (touchdown after blip pic.)
Ross'sling feeding (a tourist threw her bread...)
Parakeet feeding (from hand)
My mother and I went to see the Ross'sling at St. James's Park in the early afternoon. The Ross's geese were on adorable form (as usual); I stayed with them while Mum went to watch the pelicans being fed, and this heron then appeared with a fish that it had snaffled from the keeper feeding the pelicans...
We saw all six pelicans together (on our way back to the car), and they were in an amusing post-feeding-frenzy frenzy, biting at everything (inc. each other), bellowing a lot, and galumphing about...
We also saw a huge crowd feeding the parakeets in their usual spot, so that seems to have become a tourist attraction.
Today's others are here (or right from Ross'sling dripping)
