Snow - of course!

Went for a walk round my local patch today. Not terribly easy underfoot - a mixture of soft deep snow, icy ruts and slippery compacted snow on drive ends. There was a bit of a thaw today but the wind was bitter.

Despite there not being many birds in my garden, the gardens and trees in the middle of the estate seemed to have lots of activity. Perhaps it is more sheltered than my garden which is on the edge of the estate and quite windy.

More snow is forecast for tomorrow here. Have just watched a programme about the big freeze of 1963. 2 weeks will be enough for me let alone 2 months!
