Snow Day
Did someone mention snow? No? Really, well if you haven't you must have been incredibly lucky to have been marooned on a desert island, because you could not move for seeing it; on the TV, listening to the radio, on Facebook (numerous minute by minute updates), or just by looking out of your window.
Most of the UK (mostly for the Southern regions) were blanketed in the white stuff yesterday. Fine dusting of snow soon settled onto everything, and schools were closing early. Thankfully us who did make it to work were told to go home, so I left at 12:30pm to pick up the baby from my mother's and then onto L's school which was shutting at 1pm, I'm glad I got there on earlier than everyone else, as we were leaving the queue of parents waiting to sign their kid(s) out of school was getting longer by the minute, and holding baby in the one hand and trying to guide L out with the other was no mean feat. I was so glad to get home.
I love the snow, but that said I want to be at home in the warm, huddled up with a nice cup of cocoa, not to drive or have to go out in it. We are forecast more snow this evening and tomorrow, so we'll see how long this lasts for, but for the time being its nice being at home with the family having our snow days!
This was our 'snow' day - minus the snow (what do you expect, its too cold to take piccies!)
