Hill

A nice walk up the hill today in the sunshine. The pavement peters out at the top, and the road continues unpaved through a tall forest. There are three wineries in the area, a few orchards, and miles of windy gravel roads. Nearby are also at least two villages founded by Quakers in the 18th century (old for us) which, though we’re in Virginia, fought with the north during the civil war.
