Vizwhizz
Last night I was planning where to walk today when I noticed on the Surrey Vizsla Facebook page that there was a group Vizsla walk today, called a Vizwhizz. So this morning we decided to join the walk which was being held in Happy Valley, Coulsdon, which is a wide, open valley, perfect for a lot of dogs to run around - see extra of the valley.
The walk started with a group photo - I took a photo of some of the group as seen in my extra photos. there were about 25 Vizslas there and Xena had a fabulous time playing with all of them. Vizslas play in a certain way and if you don't know the breed it looks as if they are fighting when they are actually only playing - as seen in my last extra. Of course it was very muddy but we had taken the portable shower so washed her off and then wrapped her up in her towel coat to dry on the drive home again.
This afternoon we are going to see The Personal History of David Copperfield. Last night we were talking about the movie and were saying how we liked the actor Dev Patel who plays the title role. Later that evening we watched Blinded by the Light on TV, a movie about a Pakistani teenager who discovers the music of Bruce Springsteen. It was an excellent film which we really enjoyed, but I laughed the loudest when during the movie Gavin turned around to me and said 'So when does he (meaning the teenager) turn into Dev Patel?' Clearly very confused about the movies! He thought Dev Patel played the teenager as an adult.
My main image is a panning shot of Xena and another dog whizzing past, clearly giving meaning to the Vizwhizz.
