Winter flowering cherry...

This tree was removed by a digger and placed at the side of the drive while the building work was going on. There was a very sharp frost for several days during these weeks and we wondered if it would survive ...we are delighted to see it flower so prolifically after being so badly treated.
J being his less than cheerful self has pointed out that plants often put energy into flowering when they are about to die :/ I choose to be delighted that for now it looks so beautiful!
Today is my Mum's birthday - she would have been 101 today.
