Very wet and frustrating day, though I popped out to the shops and saw that my lovely evergreen clematis is covered in flowers.
Bit the bullet last week and tried to get a better internet connection sorted. Was assured it would be very easy for me to move onto fibre- would just need a new hub and plug it in . It arrived yesterday so I attempted to plug it in- today- ether net cable connection was to too big for my phone socket. Went to Curry’s ( really busy so took ages) who sold me another cable which still didn’t fit. Tried old cable - it fitted but hub wouldn’t work. Phoned J - he said he thought I needed a different wall socket for fibre. Phoned BT - took 35 minutes to get through. I do indeed need a different wall socket - person last week should have known that and arranged for a engineer to come. However now that the contract has started I need a password before an engineer can be arranged, and will take 3-5 days to arrive in the post. Grr...
Decided to veg on sofa and watch tv for the evening
