Pub Pals
The plan today was for shopping in the morning for the girls (us boys weren't invited - could be taken as rude I know but Beloved well knows that my thoughts on the virtues of shopping are at best limited). Instead, we stayed at home and entertained Grandpa with a game of Labyrinth before taking Koira on a pre-lunch walk, leaving Grandpa to the paper.
This walk was a longer one, longer than Koira had enjoyed before which took in the fields and meadows along Wignall Brook to Church Hill and home - a shade under 2 miles and the only one of us wishing to be home before time was Master H, nevertheless he did very well indeed.
The shoppers returned with a new canvas for a school art project plus a selection of clothes and the dog was fully exercised, a necessary precaution as she would be joining us for lunch out for the first time!!
The Haywain at Little Bromley is as welcoming to well-behaved dogs as their human owners and thankfully Koira did not disappoint. Infact, she's had a rather snoozy Sunday afternoon. Pictured is Master H enjoying a rest in an armchair close to our table, I think this could be the start of a beautiful new friendship.
