Tomato cubes

I wake on the floor. It’s after eight. Kate and Rachel haven’t gone swimming. Claire is arranging brunch on Stockbridge with Katherine. Johnny comes too.

After porridge, we head for Dobbies, for capillary matting and frozen rats.

The weather is dry, but cold. We fiddle with things in the garden, but mainly huddle around the fire. Claire heads to Kinghorn. I watch night fall and Orion emerge.
