Fab morning.
Off I went early on as the sun was out and it looked amazing. I went for a walk in search of mountain hares but didn't even get a glimpse of one. Then I walked round the reservoir and was amazed to find that the peanut feeder was nearly empty (filled it yesterday) and so went back to refill it + the other feeders. I think it was my best time ever at the feeders around this res and I ended up staying for ages and getting very cold.
The feeders were just so busy with allsorts of birds and it was very entertaining.
There were: coal tits, long tailed tits, a willow tit, blue tits, great tits, chaffinches, goldfinches, greenfinches, this treecreeper that made numerous visits ( I mean, hardly ever do I see a treecreeper feeding on the ground for ages), there were at least 6 yellowhammer, a great spotted woodpecker, robins, dunnock, blackbirds, collared doves, a moorhen, fieldfare and 2 very noisy pheasant....Phew :) A few more birdies in the extras.
Here's a link to a video of the treecreeper from today.
