Glimpse

A day of sorting and clearing inside and out at the old house, after a dump run this morning.  The sunshine, when it arrived, was brief but I was able to get a glimpse of the crocuses opening.  This is Crocus imperati suaveolens from Italy with relatively large flowers, the biscuit coloured outside of the petals giving no hint of the glorious colour within.  Although this is in a pot under cold glass, the species does well in a sunny spot outside.
