Evoking Memories

Having unsuccessfully tried snapping birds in our local woodland I was about to give up. However as I emerged in the bike park I was aware of some movement in the undergrowth. I was rather surprised to have interrupted lunchtime. It was unconcerned and quickly set to battering the poor snail on a rock.

This took me back to my father gardening when I was still at primary school. There was a friendly Thrush who used to sit on his fork handle awaiting the unearthing of worms.

Isn’t it surprising what memories can be sparked from a photo!
