Fungus the Bogeyowl

The last time I saw this owl he (or she) was looking fine. It was only a few weeks ago.

But now - a serious fungal attack. A lot of what I assume are small bracket fungi. Quite striking

The fungal world is a mysterious one. Spores and fungi are everywhere. We are by no means immune.
