Watching Again...

... but not for long. I was going to be out for most of the day so I thought I'd give a little time early this morning to do the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.

In spite of it being a lovely morning, there weren't many birds around. However, I was poised with my camera ready to snap them when our new red squirrel came along. I got such a shock when it made a leap for the nut hangers. I've only seen them do this once before.

Today I managed to get some shots of this particular squirrel facing me so I'm pretty sure this one's a female, which is good as we already have a male nearby.
