Dank tunnel

looking back to bright and squeeky-clean snow.

A quick walk before guests arrived to enjoy last night's snowfall took me along the cycle path from Ferry Rd to Wardie through this tunnel passing under Trinity.

The North Edinburgh cycle path network is a real asset to cycle commuters and walkers like me. But knowing people who used to travel to work and school along the this line, and passing the remnants of platforms and, just here, surviving station buildings, it does seem foolish not to be running a public transport system along them again, by-passing the traffic snarl-ups at all the usual pinch-points in the centre of the city.
