Yet more snow!
Hi everyone!
Today we had very heavy snow, especially last night and in the early hours of the morning. I woke up to a snow filled street, which for me was amazing, but was obviously a pain for everyone else. I went for a massive walk around mayfield, then I went down to my papas house to check if he was ok. He was outside in the street, shovelling away snow from the pavement.
He was very happy to see me, but I was really surprised that he was shovelling snow. For an 85 year old, he's doing quite well! I warned up his hands with my gloves, then asked if he wanted any help. He insisted he was fine, and after a short conversation, I said goodbye.
Then I went sledging with Craig and a couple of friends. I was just sitting on the sledge because my feet hurt, then I sensed craig behind me. Before I could react, he had pushed me and I was hurtling down the hill (not this one) really fast. I felt the sledge lurch to the side, which sent me into a barrel roll. I flipped a few times, saw the sky, and the ground, and my feet on several occasions. I ended up on my back staring at the sky, laughing more than anything else.
Later, Craig's friend and his 9 year old brother came up to watch the hunger games, which Craig bought on Friday. It was a little better than I remembered, but it was still not as good as the book! We had lots of sweets and fizzy juice (well, I had water, as I don't actually like fizzy juice). So, a good day overall!
We are due a little snow on Sunday, but according to the weather forecast, we are due very heavy snow in the early hours of Monday morning. Hopefully that'll mean a day off school! Long weekend!
Have a good Sunday!
Steven :)
