Freezin' Fannies

We attended the 1st Annual (their words, not mine!) Lehigh Valley Polar Plunge this afternoon. What fun! But .... brrrrrr!!! Outside temp was around 40 F; water temp was around 36 F! That's 2 degrees celsius!

This Polar Bear Plunge benefitted Special Olympics Pennsylvania and the thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities who develop improved physical fitness and motor skills, greater self-confidence and a more positive self-image as a result of receiving year-round training and competition programs - all at no cost to themselves or their families. The total donations for this Lehigh Valley plunge was over $75,000!!!! Isn't that just wonderful?!?

When I was much, much younger I participated in a polar bear plunge. The big difference is I did this during the summer!
