Snake River
The border between Idaho and Oregon is delineated by the great Snake River which joins nearby with the mighty Columbia river - rarely does one see ice floes here, but the extreme cold with the temperature inversion is surely a factor. Anyway, I have shots I like to take over and over on the journey from Seattle to Boise and beyond. This is one, conveniently aside a good rest stop.
Temperatures maintained between 1 and 15 degrees, bright fog with the inversion, making for an oddly lovely light. A reunion with my dear long-time friend and her pretty new husband who shares a huge history of mutual interest and friendships with my Tom. Makes for a delightful periodic reunion and overnight!
