Under the Boardwalk...down by the sea...

Volunteers hard at work taking apart the old boardwalk in Ocean Grove so that, hopefully, our new boardwalk will be open for Memorial Day. While our historic little town was fortunate and suffered very little damage after Hurricane Sandy, our beautiful boardwalk was destroyed. Ron and I lost only one shingle...we we later found under a pile of leaves. I took this photo around 1pm today when we walked up to the beach to check on the project. While the entire boardwalk will not be replace by summer 2012, enough of it will be in place for Ocean Grovers, their guests and tourists to enjoy our town and the beach.
