Colorado State Champion Sassafras

 A terrible photo I snaped after work of Sassafras albidum- the sassafras, is an eastern NA tree rarely planted in CO.  We have one at Denver botanic Gardens and there are actaully three trees in this yard.   None come close to sizes I have seen in the Midwest.
