ABANDON

A photo challenge too far. Tried to descend the cliffs at Ravenscar with M to get onto the rocks to see and photograph Grey Seals and their pups.
I had to give up after 45 minutes and 650’ down as the legs gave way. M managed a bit further. Only 9 adults in view. A long and very slow climb back up awaited. This image shows the rocks from my viewpoint way above. Spoke with The Park Ranger and he confirmed that numbers were low as most the seal colony have taken to the water.

Been in agony for the rest of the day. Hoping to get some rest and sleep tonight.
