They might have forgotten

I’m all for the Remembrance decorations, the fixtures that appeared in October or November last year, but there’s a good chance that everyone will have become used to them; the period leading up to Remembrance  Day 2020 will be less special because the decorations have been visible but invisible for 12 months. 

Are we guilty of trying too hard to display our thoughts of Remembrance?  It’s a bit like having national flags flying all the time, we treat them with less respect, perhaps.
