Schist Village

A restoration of the schist house stone villages in central Portugal is incredible. They do not make them like they used too. This is in Talasnal.
The Schist Village Network comprises 27 villages from 16 municipalities. It is a territory essentially consisting of mountains of shale. The mountains offer stones that are part of the identity of the territory. With the stones history was made, but with them a project of the future was made. Villages that were in ruin, disappearing, originated an award-winning  destination. It is something unique and remarkable because it has emerged in one of the most disadvantaged territories in the interior of the country.
