bimble

By monkus

Early start, toast and not enough coffee and out on the local roads, cold fingered in the morning chill. Out of town, smaller roads to Santichon village, too early, and further towards Mo paeng waterfall. Along winding village roads a familiar house, waved at with the offer of grass and opium, passing, not today, up to the destination. 100 baht, the call from a small booth, not so interesting and too cold for the pools, turn around back along the main road.

Further, another waterfall on the way to the bamboo bridge, hairpin bend into steep slope and a broken road, winding narrow through glimpsed landscape until the village appears.

The bridge a raised walkway above rice fields, buffalo grazing surrounded by egrets, the quiet broken by the sounds of labour and an occasional bike engine. At the end of the bridge a forest temple offering shelter and some moments to allow the beauty of this place to unfold, further, into eyes.
