Fruneral of Winston Churchill 30th January 1965

On the 24th January 1965 the death was announced of Sir Winston Churchill at his home in London. I was serving in 41 Commando RM on our base on Dartmoor.  
Within days I found my self and others detailed to stand by for ceremonial duties in London and practices began.  At first at our base and then we moved to London where we continued to practice outside of the Tower of London, often at 2 am in the morning
The funeral was on the 30th January 1965 We were detailed to form the last guard of honour and our two rows of white helmets can be seen in the bottom right
