antarctic Adventure - Day 3 Gourdin Island

We had two excursions today.   Gourdin Island in the morning which was full of Adelie penguins.  Adelies are distinguished by the white ring around their eyes.


In the afternoon we went on a zodiac cruise off Astrolabe island 


More penguin shots in extras,  and they won't be the last I'm afraid!  Extra 1 shows an adult Adelie feeding its chick and extra 2 shows a crowd going for a dip.
