Jack Monroe

This morning I went to my art group where I finished the painting that I began last week.

This evening I went to the talk and book signing by the cookery writer Jack Monroe. She’s written a few cookery books aimed at people without much money for food. She was very interesting as she spoke of food poverty and her struggle to cope with having no money. She was an inspirational and entertaining speaker.

I bought her book Vegan(ish), I’m not vegan but don’t eat a lot of meat. I saw Blippers Happyframe and bananablip there too but there were so many people that we didn’t get chance for a chat. I eventually got a photo of her, it took a long time as she chatted to everyone. The things we do for Blip!
