Tomorrow I have to go to the Prefecture with a wad of paperwork to be allowed to stay in my own home. Tonight I was printing out the last duplicates I'd need for the interview.

On my way home from having my identity photo taken, I got a phone call from my step-father's little sister to be told that he had had fallen again and was in A&E. I've no idea what state he is in as I only have his mobile phone number (which she had used) and after the initial call I've not been able to get in touch with her since. It was hard enough getting to see him from Hampshire, now there is the added disadvantage of a sea between us...
