Southminster United Church in the freezing fog

I am not a big fan of Ottawa's architecture. Well, not usually. It is, not to put too fine a point on it, crap.

This church, however, has something about it. It is perched just above the canal and looks good from most angles. True to form though, the city manages to put visual impediments in its way as much as it can: traffic lights, road signs, a tacky mini-strip-mall... there is little the City of Ottawa won't do to make itself look less presentable.
