Meet the new kid on the block

This is the latest acquisition to the team!

I work on the first floor where I was working with a colleague at a pc, when we both had the sensation we were being watched - how right we were!
We turned round and saw two fire fighters grinning and waving at us off the new Ariel Platform. Now this wasn't just upright like a normal ladder - this was raised and then manoeuvred to be horizontal against the window as it stretches for 32 metres (approx 96ft).

Edinburgh has been getting alot more flats built and as such there have been some changes to the emergency services appliances to cope - this being one of them.

Word of warning though - don't buy a flat above the seventh floor - this doesn't reach more than that!
