Through to that Glasgow mid-afternoon in time to do such cultural things as nose into Goma, look at claes in Cos and have a pint in Rab Ha’s. Where we also had wir tea. 
But the reason we were there overnight was to take in some of Celtic Connections as Blue Rose Code (aka Ross Wilson) had put together an 18 piece covers band basically, to treat us to some Caledonian Soul. None of of yer lightweight pap - oh no - his intentions were signalled right from the off with Del Amitri’s Kiss This Thing Goodbye. Groovy! So many highlights but a notable one was a tremendous a cappella version of John Martyn’s Fine Lines. And a monster finale - Sunshine of Your Love. I think when you find yourself singing along to that, you know it’s been a fine fine evening. I did however manage to hold back from the air guitar. Close call.
