On the lookout

It is still dark and I am reading and writing something, too.
Whenever I tell that I prefer e-books, those who have not tried them, often say that they love the feel of a book. Well, I guess one can say so, but I wonder if the 'feel' really adds something to the content of the book !?  I myself have noticed that when I read an e-book, the physical form of the 'book' disappears totally, and the message of the text comes to my mind 'directly', without any 'mediator'.

I apologize for the quote marks, but I don't know how to explain what I mean precisely.
