Tram Lines

Well it does not snow very often in Rotterdam so today I have to take advantage of the weather.

We try to take advantage of living near a city to go and see some of the many exhibitions - so today we went to the De weg naar Van Eyck (the route to Van Eyck) exhibition at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.

Very interesting to see the change in painting style from the early flat 2 dimensional paintings to the more 3 dimensional images with depth and shadow we would recognize today - easier to see in the paintings than to describe.

It was snowing a little bit when we went into the museum, but obviously continued the whole afternoon as this is the scene when we were setting off for home.
