Winter Hogweed
A 2-hour walk around the nature reserve today in complete solitude and drifting snow. Checked our Beulah sheep ("Call this snow?!") and our Exmoor and New Forest ponies. Hoped to get good shots of mammal tracks, but the snow was getting covered too quickly. Had wonderful views of a flurry of Goldfinches moving along a line of seed heads like larger snow flakes, but neither camera or photographic skill up to getting a decent shot. In the end this is the photo I liked best - Hogweed seed heads against a snow-filled sky.
