VIEW FROM A CAR PARK

I went to Sunderland to collect my camera today and tested it around the town. After briefly wondering whether the magic dust sprinkled by Boris and his circus during their cabinet meeting there yesterday will bring back the prosperity that the majority of Sunderland's voters apparently expect from Brexit, I turned my thoughts to my sister and her first birthday without her husband, and hoping that the treats I know her family are organising for her will help her through the day.

I must say that the coffee I had in the Winter Gardens café today was the best I've had for a long time.
