Worker of the week

This little one came for his piano lesson proudly clutching his “Worker of the Week” certificate from school. He was so proud of it that he insisted on bringing it to show me today. I love how much these accolades mean to the children and the parents. I was even delighted that my, soon to be 18 year old, son told me he had been awarded a note book and pen in his A level English class for one hundred percent attendance!! People of all ages respond to recognition for their hard work. My student then smashed it in his piano lesson. He really is talented for a 4 year old. His musical journey with me began when he was two. It has been a wonderful study of the teaching of music from toddlerhood to school age. Already he is reading music and playing along with an accompaniment. What a star!

Today I’m grateful that my husband returned home from Turkey safely. It’s great to have him back.
