very proud

We’ve got Jim for a double sleepover this weekend. He decided he wanted to learn how to use my sewing machine so I shown him how to use it and he picked it up very quickly. I got him to practise straight lines, zigzags and folded seams. Then he wanted to make something so after a time rummaging through all my remnants he chose some alpaca material. He cut out this bag himself and made a strap and added it. He was very proud of it and I was very proud of him :-)
He’s been making things all afternoon - a large foldover pocket to keep pens (or Nerf bullets) in and a little cushion. He said he wants to make a rucksack tomorrow but I think he needs to make a few more simple things first :-)
