A somewhat redundant sign.
There's a good six inches of snow lying up here, with another 24 hours' worth to come. I spent the morning clearing our wee private road, and digging a path for the neighbours' cars - we are the only folk with a 4x4.
From there to the local cafe for coffee and a refuelling slab of lemon sponge.
I'm now wedged in my chair by the fire, trying to avoid the pile of ironing that needs to be done.
This image shows the rear entrance to the Yester Estate - the grounds that surround the massively impressive Yester House. In Scotland the law states that we have 'the right to roam' - this means that with a few sensible exclusions (fields of crops, private gardens, sports fields, military land) the average citizen is free to roam without fear of prosecution. This huge estate is widely used by the local community for walks and bird watching. However it is so large and full of dense woodland that I've got very lost on more than one occasion.
Enjoy your Sunday evening folk
