What a day!

Woke up at 7 am to a very hot 27 degrees.
It reached a nasty high of 36 at our house this afternoon.

Dave’s away working in Kaikoura.
I dropped Ella at work this morning.
Then Lottie and I went for a swim over in the sea at Lyttleton. Beautiful in the water.
Didn’t take Banjo as it’s too hard for him in this heat, even getting in and out of the car is hard.

Came home and sat in front of the fan , trying to cool down.
No air conditioning!

Went and got Ella, and driving there the sky changed colour to a orange glow, seems like we have The Aussi fire smoke blowing over us again.
The sun looks very strange.
