A deep but not long enough sleep before springing into action ahead of the boys coming at lunchtime
5 furious hours of shopping, cleaning, bed making, laundry and scribbling plans. 

Even so, I felt woefully underprepared for the rest of the day. A jumble of numbers and apps and rereading notes and checking timings and monitoring the lad. 

Low key ambitions. We chose a box to store the drug paraphernalia in, and dutifully weighed out chicken curry before Partick v Ayr occupied the lads whilst I continued in a silent frenzy of mental calculations and worst case scenario planning. 

I ended the day jabbing his finger around midnight so I could finally get enough peace of mind to be able to go to sleep
